With extensive experience in interior design and styling, both within Australia and internationally, we have been helping people create beautiful spaces since 2019. Gia means ‘home’ in Mandarin and we truly believe that an aesthetically pleasing and functional home can have a positive impact on your wellbeing.
How you style or design your home is deeply personal but sometimes it can be useful to engage a professional to help realise your vision. Award-winning Interior Designer and Stylist, Rachel, is passionate about creating bespoke design solutions for her clients.

Meet The Designer
Rachel C. Y. Mao
Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration/ Bachelor of Design/ Interior Designer / Stylist
Director/ Founder of GIA Interior, Rachel began her education with a Bachelor of Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands before her passion for colours, structures, forms and functions led her expanding her skills, completing a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration with the Sydney Design School.
She has gained extensive industry experience in both Adelaide and Sydney, having worked as a Design Consultant for prominent furniture and home styling companies, including Temple & Webster, Thomas Hamel & Associates, and Granger Home Collections. Her skills were recognised in 2019 after gaining an honorable mention in the International Design Awards and winning first place in the Resene Total Colour Awards.
